The international division of The Pokémon Company has unveiled that a fresh, exclusive extension for the highly sought-after Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), known as Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates, will hit the shelves starting January 26, 2024, across participating stores worldwide.
Drawing inspiration from the well-received expansions such as Hidden Fates and Shining Fates, the Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates extension heralds the resurgence of Shiny Pokémon in the Pokémon TCG, showcasing creatures from the Paldea region. Trainers will have the opportunity to amass and engage in battles with over 130 Shiny Pokémon, including Shiny Pikachu, Shiny Ceruledge, Shiny Tinkaton, Shiny Dondozo, Shiny Tatsugiri, and others. Additionally, the expansion unveils Shiny Tera Pokémon ex — featuring Charizard, Forretress, and Espathra — along with additional Ancient and Future Pokémon ex.
Certain Shiny Pokémon featured in Scarlet & Violet—Paldean Fates will be exhibited in captivating full-art designs, providing a fresh perspective on beloved Pokémon in their Shiny variations. Moreover, specific Pokémon ex will make appearances on hyper-rare cards, featuring a distinctive and novel raised foil effect.
